Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of akashavhad.com and its exam sites, gmat.akashavhad.com, cat.akashavhad.com, sat.akashavhad.com and gre.akashavhad.com (together, the “Site”), and any coaching services provided by Akash Avhad (“I”, “me”, “my”), a sole proprietor based in Princeton, NJ, United States.

By using the Site, booking a session, or enrolling in any coaching program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or the services.

Services

I offer one-on-one coaching for GMAT (all sections), CAT (all sections), SAT (Math section) and GRE (Quantitative Reasoning):

• Free Performance Diagnostic: a one-hour, live one-on-one session on Zoom, with feedback and guidance at the end. There is no charge.
• Performance Optimization Program: personalized one-on-one coaching for students with solid foundations.
• Comprehensive Program: structured one-on-one coaching that builds foundations before score optimization.

Enrolled students get a personal account on a third-party learning platform, where recordings of their online coaching sessions are provided. Enrolled SAT Math students also get access to my online practice platform. Sessions are conducted live online via Zoom, which requires a stable internet connection and a laptop or desktop computer. Students in and around Princeton, New Jersey may also take coaching sessions in person, as set out under In-Person Sessions below. I may modify, suspend or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice.

In-Person Sessions

In-person coaching is available to enrolled students in and around Princeton, New Jersey, subject to my availability. The Free Performance Diagnostic is held online on Zoom.

• Location: the place where sessions are held, such as the student’s home or a public place like a library, is agreed in writing before coaching starts. Any change of location must be agreed with me in advance.
• Students under 18: a parent or legal guardian must be present at the location for the whole of every in-person session.
• No recordings: in-person sessions are not recorded. Notes and materials from the session are shared with you instead.
• Moving a session online: if an in-person session cannot go ahead because of bad weather, illness or travel disruption, it may be held on Zoom at the same time or rescheduled, by agreement. If you or anyone at the location is unwell with a contagious illness, please tell me before the session.

Students Under 18

If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf before you enrol in a coaching program. The parent or guardian is responsible for payment and for the student’s compliance with these Terms. A parent or guardian may book the Free Performance Diagnostic on the student’s behalf.

Booking and Payment

Free Performance Diagnostic

The Free Performance Diagnostic is booked through the calendar on the Site. No payment is taken. A Zoom link is sent to your email address once the booking is confirmed.

Coaching Programs

Program fees, payment terms, schedule and structure are discussed after the diagnostic and confirmed in writing before coaching starts. Payment can be made by PayPal, Razorpay, bank transfer or UPI, whichever is convenient for you.

Accuracy of Information

You agree to give accurate and complete information when booking or enrolling, including your name, email address and exam preparation background. False or misleading information may lead to cancellation of your booking or enrolment.

Cancellation and Rescheduling

Free Performance Diagnostic

If you cannot attend, please cancel or reschedule using the link in your confirmation email, ideally at least 24 hours before the session, so the time can go to another student. Repeated no-shows may mean future diagnostic bookings are not accepted.

Coaching Program Sessions

Individual coaching sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the session being counted as completed. The same 24-hour notice applies to in-person sessions. If I arrive at the agreed location and the session cannot take place because the student is not there, or because no parent or guardian is present for a student under 18, the session may be counted as completed.

Cancellation by Me

If I need to cancel a session, I will tell you as soon as possible and offer to reschedule at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not possible for a paid session, a full refund for that session will be issued.

Refunds

Refunds are covered in full in the Refund Policy. In summary: the diagnostic is free, so no refund applies to it. Once coaching has commenced, defined as the completion of the first coaching session after program enrolment, program fees already paid are non-refundable. For programs paid in instalments, you are not obliged to pay future instalments if you choose to stop, but instalments already paid are non-refundable. If I am unable to continue coaching because of circumstances on my end, a pro-rated refund for unused prepaid sessions will be issued.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including written content, coaching frameworks such as the Performance Optimization Framework and the Rigorous Evidence Framework, methodology descriptions, practice questions, platform content and session materials, is the intellectual property of Akash Avhad unless otherwise stated.

Session recordings in your learning platform account, and all materials provided to you, are for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, share, publish or sell any session recordings, coaching materials, platform content or practice assignments without my prior written consent.

You retain ownership of your own score data and the personal information you share during coaching.

Results and Disclaimer

Student results and testimonials on the Site reflect actual outcomes achieved by individual students and are shared with their permission. They are not a guarantee of any result.

Individual outcomes depend on many factors, including starting level, preparation time, consistency of independent practice, effort between sessions and learning pace. Enrolment in any program does not guarantee a specific score or admission to any educational institution.

Student Responsibilities

To get the most from coaching, you agree to:

• Attend sessions on time, with a stable internet connection for online sessions
• Complete practice assignments before each session
• Submit your working for review as instructed
• Engage honestly and openly during diagnostic and coaching sessions
• Communicate schedule conflicts or concerns promptly

I may discontinue coaching if a student’s conduct is disrespectful or dishonest, or consistently falls short of these responsibilities. In such cases, no refund will be issued for fees already paid.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Akash Avhad is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or coaching services, including but not limited to exam scores, application outcomes or career opportunities.

My total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or coaching services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the three months before the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Jersey.

Changes to These Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Site or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
